Wedding Venues in Naples Florida
Wedding: October 14, 2017
Story by Pamela Simmons
If you want an elegant fall wedding with the southern romantic flair, look no further than Cara and Nate’s beautiful wedding at this gorgeous wedding venues in Naples, Florida, location of The Club at The Strand. This southwest Florida venue evokes a graceful southern charm much like the old homes in South Carolina, where this couple’s wedding journey started. Nate proposed to Cara at The Battery in Charleston, SC, and they knew they wanted to continue this southern romance, and The Strand was just the location.
Cara and Nate chose one of The Strands’ various outdoor areas to have the wedding ceremony. This multi-level outdoor patio had exceptional views of the golf green of the Savannah Course there at The Strand.
The Strands’ Clubhouse was decorated with a beautiful autumn feel of tasteful fall pumpkins, straw, scarecrows, and other autumn décor. Outside on the ceremony patio, the white chairs and beautiful large floor standing florals were set up and waiting for this wedding to commence.
The Strand has a second-floor Verandah and a gorgeous split staircase that ascends down to the outdoor ceremony patio and its beautiful 3 tier water fountain. That staircase is where the bride, escorted by both her mother and father, made her entrance. Nate’s eyes were full of tears as he saw Cara for the first time. The southern Florida weather cooperated beautifully as the early evening ceremony took place.
Once the ceremony ended, the guests settled in upstairs to enjoy the large bar and hors d’oeuvres as the bridal party photoshoot took place. The Strand’s Executive Chef and the culinary team provided cutting-edge selection for the guests, and the dinner following was just as delicious. (I was present for this wedding celebration as the bride is family).
The guests were relocated into the main ballroom as the bride and groom entered their reception. The Clubhouse has a classic southern design with luxurious draperies, beautiful furnishings, and paintings, creating a comfortably warm and inviting atmosphere. The newlyweds were glowing and went right into their first dance as husband and wife. Then they were seated at their wedding party table to relax and refresh themselves before the dancing began.
The florals were fabulous, all created by Kevin at Botanicals by the Gulf. The dining tables had both high and low floral centerpieces, which gave the room such vibrant beauty. The newlyweds chose a buffet-style dinner located in a room off the main ballroom. Mikkelsen’s Pastry Shop in Naples, Florida, created the beautiful tiered wedding and the groom cake and was simply delicious if I say so myself.
The newlyweds and guests partied into the night until that magic hour when the newlyweds were given a wonderful sendoff under a canopy of sparklers. This wedding event was so elegant and fun from start to finish. Cara and Nate did a great job choosing The Strand to finish their wedding journey and begin a new journey together.
